Your little person will be turning one soon and you have no idea how to celebrate such a big milestone. ‘Where to start?’ and ‘What do other parents do?’ are often asked questions.
First, let’s congratulate you! You’ve done this, you’ve been the most amazing parent for one whole year! Can you believe it has been one year since you got this little joy home from the hospital?Â
How to celebrate
From our experience, first birthday parties are commonly celebrated amongst families and close friends but times are different now and large-scale events are not recommended or allowed in many countries due to the global pandemic. Instead, many families are opting for a first birthday photo session, followed by an intimate family celebrations at home.
First birthday styled photo shoots and cake smash sessions have become a hit. Choose from various themes such as superhero, cartoon characters, favourite book or movie or even a personalised and bespoke styling service. All precautions are taken during the shoot to keep it safe.
Prepping for the shoot
There are many ways to style and prepare your home for the photography session. Some clients love using bunting, balloons, fancy outfits, decorative props and bespoke themed backgrounds, others love a more minimalistic approach.
